Library books are due two weeks after they are checked out. If a student needs additional time with a book, we are happy to renew it for them.
Preschool - Teachers check out books that go along with the unit being covered in class.
Students may check out one book at a time and these books remain in their classroom.
Students may check out two books at a time to take home with them.
6th - 12th Grade
Students may check out materials for an entire grading period without penalty. However, once that grading period is over, these materials must be returned before new materials may be checked out.
Overdue, Lost, or Damaged Books
No fines are charged for overdue books. However, students may not check out new books if they have an overdue.
Once a book is 30 days overdue, it will be considered lost. At that time, replacement fees will be billed to the parent's account. Please note that all replacement fees are final. Fees will not be refunded if a book is found and returned at a later date.
All library materials must be returned at the end of the school year
before report cards and final grades will be sent home.
Reading Counts is a Lexile based independent reading program by Scholastic that combines reading practice and software-based reading assessment.
Students from 2nd grade through 5th grade acquire points as they successfully take Reading Counts quizzes. With these points, students earn special prizes and rewards. Prizes and reading requirements vary according to grade level.
