The CTCS Band is under the direction of Kaylenn Henderson. Mrs. Henderson has been leading our band and praise band since the 2007 school year. CTCS offers beginning band to all Secondary students. We also offer intermediate and advanced classes for those who have completed beginning band. Each class meets for one hour everyday.
The music department at CTCS strives to encourage the creativity that God has placed in each one of us. Through playing instruments we enhance right brain creativity and thinking that can be used in all subjects of school. Every child has creativity placed in them, some with the talent of art, others with singing and still others with playing music.

New band students have the opportunity to try out on 3 different instruments and through the guidance of Mrs. Henderson, the instrument that is best suited for that student as well as the band will be chosen. Students are required to rent or purchase their own instruments.
