At CTCS the focus of cross country is mental, physical, and spiritual endurance. Running is one of life's most basic lessons. It teaches you how to push through when things are hard. In cross country we desire to condition ourselves to improve our previous attempt and ultimately win a prize. As Christians we are desiring the same yet we seek a prize that does not fade or tarnish. Even as we condition our bodies to run we should condition our spirits to endure in Christ. In victory we will praise Him and in defeat we will praise Him... because in either case God is good and He is still faithful.
