Varsity Competitive Cheer
CTCS Varsity Cheerleading provides high school girls the opportunity to develop their athletic skills and teamwork, and teaches Christ-like service and Godly character through serving the student body and athletic teams throughout the year. The cheerleaders lead the fans at football and basketball games, organize and perform at pep rallies, coordinate the Lil' Lion Cheer Clinic, and raise funds through the Sideline Sweeties - an opportunity for our younger girls to cheer alongside the team at designated games. Team members attend tumbling classes and after-school practices to perfect their skills.
Our Varsity Competitive team has a winning history! Honors include:
- 1st and 2nd place - Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders National competitions, Orlando, FL.
- Grand Champions and 1st place - FCC Camps and FCC State competitions
- Individual "Cheerleader-Scholar" awards - FCC National competitions
- FCC Staff - Several CTCS cheerleaders have been selected to FCC Staff positions following high school graduation, a huge honor!
We strive to build spiritual maturity, leadership and accountability in academics through the cheerleading program. While we work very hard to be the very best we can be, we also have a lot of fun! Go LIONS!
